We have started well in the year with more new
accounts on board.
More new request for new designs are also
rolling in daily. Our Designers are
currently in the process of putting the puzzles
together on some extremely innovative creations
with features suitable for outdoorsmen and
women to carry well possibly for another 20
years or so.
We will have new action packed catalogs coming
out in 2 months, a new revamped website, and if
you don't see us in your neigborhood stores, make
sure you have the store called us or emailed us.
Please check our contact page on this site.
Don't forget to see our great demos and
seminars in ICAST, Las Vegas in July; and Outdoor
Retailer, Salt Lake City in August. Don't miss out
the northeast regional shows too. We are always
there.

Review
2007
Looking back at the past 12 months in 2007, sales have
climbed a whopping 8 folds from 2006. Different
regions have achieved successfully in getting into
major chain stores, online stores as
well as independents. Please see our "where
to buy" page.
We have also started to move into Europe with
the appointment of Holger N and Thomas B in
Berlin, Germany as our reps.
Western Canada has also come on strong with Ray
J. joining us in November.
As the year is coming to a close, the
management would like to take this opportunity to
thank all reps who have worked so hard to increase
the market share. Thanks also to the product
developers, designers, administrators and all who
worked behind the scene to make it happen.
Have a great, safe and prosperous 2008!
Before you leave for the holidays, please take
a look at one of the extreme unique creations by
Richard R & Jerry S below, which is one of our
best sellers for the year. The review is done by
Philip Ruckhart:-
If
you happen to be in the market for a new tackle
storage system for your fishing kayak or you have
been looking for one that will accommodate more
than what is currently available, you’re in
luck. New from PrecisionPak is an entirely unique
system called the YakPak. It’s available in
three versions YakPak 1, 2 & 3 and two sizes,
Standard - 13.5” L x 11.5” W x 14” H
and Long – 16.5” L x 11.5” W x 14” H.
Color choices are, Blue, Green and Orange.
Instead
of using a milk crate that you normally have to
purchase separately with other systems the YakPak
uses built in semi-rigid polyoefinic/foam padded
panels in the bottom and walls for structural
stability all the while keeping the weight
surprisingly low. The bag is constructed of
durable 600D rip-stop nylon, which sheds water and
dries quickly. Included with each bag are two
large flip latch tackle storage bins with two
inner divider panel that separates the tackle bins
and one small pouch tackle bin. There is a
detachable multi-tool sheath that can accommodate
your lip gripper, attached carry handles, a
detachable shoulder strap, two rod tubes that are
held in place by sleeves attached to one side of
the bag and a small soft-sided cooler called
“Black Ice” that fits inside the bag and is
capable of holding two easy access drinks, a
sandwich and or course, ice.
Upon
initial inspection the YakPak appears to be a very
thought out, well made, tackle bag and did not
disappoint during it’s use over a number of
fresh and saltwater outings.
The
outside of the bag is well appointed and features
a map sleeve on the main lid. There are two small
pouches on opposing sides, a full-length sleeve on
one side, three rod sleeves on the opposite side
and two pier or knife pouches which all open and
close with Velcro. There are four “D” rings,
one at each top corner that can be used for the
shoulder.
On
a typical coastal trip the amount of gear I
normally carry quickly adds up and needs to be put
somewhere. With tackle, lipper tool, pliers, bait
knife, cutting board, anchor and line, fish
finder, battery, GPS, VHF radio, cell phone,
first-aid kit, sun screen, insect repellant, rain
jacket, camera, lunch and drinks it feels like
I’m going on an expedition more than a day trip,
but in reality, it’s all part of being a
responsible, prepared paddler. The YakPak 1 (long)
has 2562 cubic inches of storage space so even the
most gear happy kayak fisherman will likely have
trouble running out of room. One of the greatest
aspects of this bag is that it makes the
loading/unloading process quicker as well as
keeping all of your gear together, ready at a
moments notice, for your next trip.
strap
or as tie-down points to secure the bag to your
kayak. Finally, on the bottom are five rubber
feet to protect the fabric from surface abrasion
as well as elevate the bag from minimal water in
your tankwell. The interior is not to be outdone
and contains a full-length mesh sleeve on the
underside of the main lid. The two tackle bin
dividers are held in place by Velcro, which
keeps the bins upright and easy to remove and
put back with one hand. One particularly nice
feature are stainless steel grommets in each
pouch and main compartment which allow water to
drain out should you find yourself launching off
the beach in rough surf or have friends that
decide to splash you and your bag if the fishing
becomes slow.
If
given the opportunity, would I want to change
anything about the YakPak? Of course.. by nature
I’m one who always wants to alter products to
suit my own preferences and the following
suggestions may be just that.. personal
preferences. First, I would like to see the main
lid extend over the two sides to offer greater
rain protection on your contents. Second, I
would favor a main lid closure system that would
be easier and quieter to open one-handed, such
as magnets sewn into the fabric. The YakPak 2
and 3 feature dual-opening lids so they may be a
bit easier to open one handed. Thirdly, I’d
like to have the interior Velcro strip, that
holds the tackle bin divider panels, extend the
full length of the bag, thus allowing you to
position the panels anywhere along it’s
length. Lastly, I’d like to see the rod-tube
sleeves spaced as far apart as possible to give
more room between your rods since their current
spacing can be a little tight with three larger
spinning rods or a combination of spinning and
casting rods. My preferences aside, this is one
tackle management system that I highly recommend
you consider.

there to serve you.
Review 2006
It has been a year of climbing. Sales have
doubled since the last fiscal, and the chances
of getting into bigger stores in the New Year
are becoming more of a reality than a plan.
With the hiring of 2 avid outdoorsmen Andy
and Gary in our Design team, the unique lines of
products created are making big impacts in the
stores across the country. Obviously, without
our dedicated reps, this would not have
happened.
This is our first year venturing into winter
sports products with our snowboard bags -
Porcupine, Fjords and Tsunami introduced in the
fall. Some ski slopes have already witnessed our
presence and more will follow.
PP pocket vests are also our first this year
with major markets out west in the mountainous
regions of British Columbia, Rockies and
northern California. The Mossy Oak patterns are
of particular interests with both fishermen and
hunters.
The one area where it is growing fast is
surf-fishing. Ocean Shield I, II and III are not
only well liked in the coastal cities and towns,
it is expected to hit international soon.
As we said, “Let’s go out there and grab
one!”, let’s make sure you have one before you
hit the outdoors.
Management of Alphatan International would
like to thank all members of the design,
developing teams, reps and customers in
contributing to our success. Thank you!
Have a Merry Christmas,
Happy Hanukah and a great, safe, prosperous and
Happy New Year!

the country. Thanks to Richard C. for his
tremendous effort in getting various items
listed.

After the Outdoor Retailer
show 2006 in Salt Lake City, Utah
We are pleased to announce the show was again a
success for the second consecutive year in a
row.
Awesome!!!...and we have to say - miracles!!!
New items on display managed to attract a
sizeable amount of traffic though we were
located in the new wing of a meeting hall;
distinctly separated from the central hall.
The first day was snail pace but the second
and third day covered basically what we’ve
anticipated, with most of the enquiries and
orders on Hunting and Fishing products.
Outstanding award went to the new Mossy Oak
category, especially the Vulcan and Prowler
tool/accessories bags.
Our great reps Al Lammert and his team - Ken
M, Jim F, Dwayne P, & Carl L; together with New
England rep – Richard C; Colorado rep – Tom E;
and eastern Canada rep – Yvonne P, have done a
great job pitching in and getting
PrecisionPak
out to the retailers.
Thank you all especially customers who
dropped in, we have to say “a big Thank You for
your support”.
New England Salt Water Fishing Show – Mar
31/06 – Apr 2/06
It was our first shot at such a show - the largest salt water fishing show in the northeastern U.S. displaying tons of baits, lures, jigs, fishing rods, reels, fish detectors, tackle bags, and items that are just too amazing and stunning to describe.
3 days at the show seemed short but we had an awesome performance. With our multi-function coolers, fishing gear bags and boat bags, we managed to attract a sizeable amount of enquiries.
The show has not only exposed us to the salt water fishing industry but input us remarkable ideas in designs that will bring us up to the next level of the fishing business.
Richard C. – New England rep, was a great help at the show, and our mentor in regards to salt water fishing needs.
In other developments, Ike F., our Japanese rep, is getting excited to develop the markets in Japan and its territories. Ike came with multiple years of international trade experience and holds a Master of Arts degree in Economics.
Locally, Tom E. is happy to cover Colorado and the surrounding states; Rich K. and David L. will do the southern states; Jerome M. will do the west-coast; and Rick S. will cover the southeast. We take the pleasure to welcome all these great teams to our PrecisionPak family.

Richard Tan – V.P. Sales & Marketing
The Outdoor Retailer Summer Market held recently at Salt Lake City, Utah from 8/10/05 ~ 8/14/05 was a great success for PrecisionPak. A branded line of outdoor merchandize consist of fishing tackle boxes, hydration system, cooling system, bike bags, backpacks, portable furniture, hunting gear, boat bags and the very rugged travelling bags.
Traffic was unbelievably heavy. Retailers, importers and distributors from the U.S., Canada, Europe and Australia, without hesitation, browsed through our booth and were amazed with our creations. Exhibitors alike, they came and went, asking for samples to be sent.
We want to take this opportunity to thank all the ladies and gentlemen who visited us at the show. Your patronage is greatly appreciated. We thank you very much for your compliments.
PrecisionPak
is making a giant move to penetrate the American
continent. Having said, in-house surveys in 4
cities: between January and May of 2005 in Vancouver,
Toronto, Los Angeles and Orlando have brought
the following results. In each city, approximate
350 people have been interviewed. Error variance
is +/-5%.
99% said they would like to see PrecisionPak
in the neighborhood stores.
95% saw and liked the fishing bags, cooler
bags, and backpacks that we showed.
96% of the respondents said price matters.
93% said the colors coordinate with its purpose.
92% agreed our gears are multi-function.
97% said they want to buy a bag that can last
a long time.
87% thought the name PrecisionPak
is cool.
Almost 100% said they would get one but hope
the retailers dont jack up the prices.
This is last years summer
attendance to the OR show
The attendance report brought us to conclude
that a large portion of attendees to last years
show in-fact reflect the market capacity represented
in each category.
Our designs are thus carefully developed to
coordinate the % configuration of the above.
However, based on overall projection of our
entire category of PrecisionPak,
Fish gear will head the list.
Follow by cooler bags (multi-purpose);
And backpacks.
We assured retailers our bags would be
a good sell.
